A VERY PRACTICAL ON-CAMERA WORKSHOP WEEKEND

Happy 2026, everyone! We are proud to present our dynamic and exciting, 2-day, weekend workshop, suitable for actor’s teen and adult performers. This workshop is of value to actors with some experience, who are looking to punch up their audition efforts. Our workshop is also of tremendous value to emerging performers seeking an immersive experience in a professional setting.

DAY 1 – Saturday, February 21, 2026

Getting prepared with Jason!
Jason will help demystify the casting process and at the same time dispels popular ‘actor-myths’ about audition. Jason will show you how to drop bad habits and will dive into the major casting platforms (Workbook & Breakdown Express) to give you a sense of how casting sees actors in real time. This is a real peek behind the ‘curtain’.
Jason will show participants what a strong self-tape audition looks like as he illustrates how actors can make stronger and more appropriate choices while competing for a role.
On this first day Jason will show you how to explore the limits of your playing space in a camera environment and learn how the camera sees you. Jason will address both in-person and self-tape audition technique, with some unique insights for both.

DAY 2 – Sunday, February 22, 2026

Brian Levy will be in the studio! Quick chat and then we get right to the on-camera work.
Presenting the ‘audition’ sides you were sent with notes from Brian and Jason with multiple takes and re-direct.
On-screen review of first and last takes of all on-camera work

Questions, comments and observations are expected and welcomed though-out this workshop. All materials selected are age and gender appropriate, selected specifically for our participants.

Fee: $325. + $42.25HST total $367.25 – inclusive of workshop, all materials, a link to all on-camera work from the workshop, bottled water and light refreshments.
Fee is payable prior to the workshop by February 16 via etransfer to brian@brianlevycasting.ca – If you want to pay at the workshop on the Saturday that is ok, we will require a $50 deposit sent via etransfer by February 16. Payment of the balance ($317.25) on the day would be via cash or credit card. Receipt provided.

ON CAMERA INTENSIVE STUDY

Work with casting director Jason Stroud to discover new perspectives ad methods for preparing scene work, story telling and their application to the on-camera audition.

This workshop is small groups over two-days.
