A PRACTICAL ON-CAMERA WORKSHOP

This dynamic and interactive workshop is suitable for teen through adult. It is applicable for those new to the industry, just getting into the industry and for those who have experience, but need a fresh look at how they are auditioning. In this workshop we show you how casting really works with a look behind the scenes and a real time look at a couple of the prominent casting plat-forms.  Always an eye-opener for our participants.

Participants are sent a set of sides, chosen specifically for you, prior to the workshop, to work with on-camera. You will receive direction, opportunity for multiple takes and re-direct in class. We also work a couple of other exercises on-camera. All on camera work is made available via a digital link following the class.

Our objective in this one-day intensive is to give performers a solid idea of how to prepare, some guide posts that will help with that and what a genuine first take feels like. We also provide direction about in-person and self-tape auditions and how to be successful in the audition process. We dispel the myths about audition and the industry and reinforce the positive aspects of audition and how to ‘break away from the pack’. In our workshop, questions and observations are expected and encouraged. Come with energy and be curious.

For our more experienced participants this workshop provides reinforcement of what you are doing right and how to adjust your auditions to take you to the next level. For our less experienced participants this workshop helps to give perspective and focus in the audition process and you will stop guessing at what we want to see from you. Our workshop is a fun and challenging day regardless of whether you are just starting out or are currently working in the industry.

There is a lot of competition in audition and every other actor auditioning for the role you are has the same materials. What will make you stand out? Take some time to acquire the tools you need to be successful. Become a smarter, better-informed actor.

ON CAMERA INTENSIVE STUDY

Work with casting director Jason Stroud to discover new perspectives ad methods for preparing scene work, story telling and their application to the on-camera audition.

This workshop is small groups over two-days.
